House music duo Cat Dealers remix Duke & Jones song ‘Vertigo’
Prog house titans the Cat Dealers have unveiled a remix of the latest Duke & Jones single ‘Vertigo’, out now.
A euphoric rework, the Cat Dealers remix of ‘Vertigo’ pairs shimmering synths with rousing breakdowns – while maintaining the infectious melodies that make the original so special.
The emotion-driven euphoric house sound of the original signified a shift in sonic direction for Duke & Jones, who started writing the track prior to the first COVID lockdown. A twelve-hour studio session with dance music icon Marshmello got the ball rolling during their first trip to LA, and the Manchester pairing then spent the next 14 months fine-tuning it to make it sound just right.
Duke & Jones are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most forward-thinking independent acts in the industry. Carving a reputation as ‘producer’s producers’ they continue to prove that true talent doesn’t need a record label or huge co-sign to make waves – instead, they let the music speak for itself. Their unique sound has helped them garner millions of global listeners – including a loyal TikTok following who are hooked to their hilarious autotune videos – and support from some of the biggest artists in the world.
Made up of Brazilian brothers Lugui and Pedrão, the Cat Dealers are one of the biggest names in the international electronic scene. Reaching #85 in the most recent DJ Mag ‘Top 100’, featuring in Forbes ‘30 Under 30’ list and amassing hundreds of millions of streams across their sprawling back-catalogue. The feline aficionados kicked off the new year with Just Wanna Be Loved, a collaborative single with newcomer Coldabank. They’ve previously reworked iconic artists such as Axwell, Gryffin, Loud Luxury + more.
The Cat Dealers prove why they are one of the most in-demand dance music duos on the planet with a memorable remix.
