Brick Lane Block Party returns to the cobbled streets of E1 on 24 August, and promises to be the biggest installment to date. This year sees The Block Party expand to include more of the Truman Brewery estate, creating a festival-like experience in the heart of the Brick Lane.
Two new exciting spaces will be launched this year; Ninety One (formerly Vibe Bar) and multi-genre event space Juju’s which will serve as the final stop until 4am. This year, Cafe 1001 invites internationally renowned DJ Marcia Carr, alongside emerging star A For Alpha, whose signature 90s house sets will astound even the most seasoned of dance veterans. Blue Ringed Baby, Cafe 1001’s resident party starter, will also be behind the decks.
This year, London collective Off The Cuff take over Brick Lane Tap Room, delivering classic pub bangers ideal for sipping a crisp pint. There will also be an exhilarating drag disco with Sleazy Disco as the host, and queer dance party experts Sue Veneers will be joining the festivities too. Free pizza slices will be on offer for those who work up an appetite from dancing.
91 Living Room sees Spanish sensation DREA perform an exclusive set, following their iconic Boiler Room performance. DREA will be joined by GEE LEE, with Kojay b2b P-Lucas rounding up a spectacular lineup. The Bar 91 courtyard will also be transformed into a captivating space, offering entertainment, drinks, and food all night long.
To end the night, Juju’s will be converted into a warehouse venue with a state-of-the-art sound system. Toy Tonic’s Cody Currie will be the headliner, offering his distinct blend of house and jazzy vibrations. He will be joined by Tim Garcia, who has been showcasing a new, fresh wave of UK music as of late.
