Cam Tatham a.k.a Sleepy Tom shares insight on how this vibrant retro-inspired track was conceptualized:“‘Call My Name’ started out last spring on a Zoom session with Parker Bossley–he helped me write this forthcoming EP. I had been wanting to make more uplifting music, and this song ended up being the framework for the sound I was after. We had a blast recording with the amazing [Vancouver-based] Dawn Pemberton, as well as the Vancouver Youth Choir, both of who really made this song come to life!”

When thinking of ‘70s and ‘80s fashion and films, one can cringe at some of the fashion statements that dominated pop culture at the time. One cannot deny that these looks are iconic, and are a topic of conversation when reminiscing about cult movies and old musical hits these days. Not heavy on the ear but still maintaining a danceable beat, Sleepy Tom creates a hit with a strong nostalgic element, but still keeps it refined and engrossing.
