Dark glamour and twisted romance, high fashion and emotional voyeurism – welcome to the glittering, ever-surprising world of COUCHOU CHLOE, where slinky, supine beats sit side by side with wedding dresses and floral bouquets and forbidding, futuristic sounds are thrown off-kilter by moments of shocking lyrical intensity.

Her new EP “ONE” presents another quantum leap forward for the critically acclaimed artist and producer, a Sphinx-like game of sonic hide and seek that conceals as much as it reveals. Ping ponging from the pure exhilaration and release of “WIZZ” to the unbridled rage and frustration of “FREEZE”, it synthesizes Chloe’s diaristic lyrics into pounding club anthems. On “ZERO FIVE STARS” meanwhile, she goes even deeper, plumbing depths of doubt and self-hatred like never before – imagine an even more lacerating early PJ Harvey and you will be somewhat close.

From the high energy assault of her recent remix of Lady Gaga’s ‘Stupid Love’ for her Dawn of Chromatica project to the haunting, strung-out, spacious compositions of her early releases, COUCOU CHLOE’s repertoire lives at the dark heart of club music. Her chaotic live performances have seen her annihilate venues across three continents, most recently for Berlin’s infamous Herrensauna and in a special A/V capsule for Sonar Festival. A founding member of the influential NUXXE collective alongside Sega Bodega and Shygirl, COUCOU CHLOE’s work has been lauded by the press and fashion industry internationally, seeing her shot for magazines like Highsnobiety, i-D and the cover of L’Officiel Paris, and collaborate with design houses like Prada, Gucci and Lanvin.
