DJ Zinc is back in bass house territory with new single ‘Lights Out’ in collaboration with Bristolian producer Notion.

With bass being no stranger to these two musical brains, Lights Out sees both producers go in on their signature sounds complimented by monotone vocals. Adding to Zinc’s jump up sound and breakbeat touches, bassmith Notion brings his bass mastery to the track, fully fledging the dark garage influence he is known for.

Notion has been making some of the biggest tracks in bass house for ages so I was really keen to work on something together – he’s such a good producer, ‘Lights On’ was an absolute pleasure to make! Says DJ Zinc.

Bristol based bass house producer Notion broke out in 2012 with his Digits’ EP. Ever since the producer has been denting the game with a string of releases on labels including Formula, White Peach, 877, Four40, Coyote and Crucast plus collaborating with peers Conducta and Holy Goof on several well received releases. Touring stages including Motion, Boomtown and Printworks, he played an unforgettable b2b2b2b with Skepsis, Darkzy, Bru-C and Holy Goof at Bass Fest 2017. Classically trained Notion also launched his own label imprint N Music in 2017.

Legendary London based dance music DJ and record producer DJ Zinc is well known for his effortless finesse in pioneering new styles and jumping between musical genres in both underground and commercial worlds. Since his era defining release of Super Sharp Shooterand 138 Trek, the DJ producer has gone on to accomplish remarkable achievements over the span of his career including releasing on the biggest dance labels as well as his own, playing the largest gigs and festivals, to going back to his roots in radio on the most sought stations and shows.
