French duo  FAUL & WAD are back with a wonderfully uplifting new slice of melodic house music.

Music has the power to unite, to inspire love, laughter and joy – new single ‘I Need You’ is one of those heartwarming cuts that taps into the universal power of music and will provide countless listeners with lifelong memories.

Produced with talented folk musician Avalanche City, from New Zealand, this hot new release is the second piece of original material from FAUL & WAD. It follows on from their debut track ‘Changes’, recorded with Australian pop group PNAU back in 2013, a huge hit which has picked up over 50 million views on YouTube.

Hi there, how are you and what are you up to today? 
Hi there we are good! And today we are in our home studio finishing some instrumental for our upcoming song

To those not familiar with you, how would you describe your sound?
Our sound is uplifting, summery and dancing

What are the 5 albums that have influenced you the most?
– Imprint Of Pleasure – Tube & Berger
– Californication – Red Hot Chili Peppers
– Justice – Justice
– Lucky girl EP – Dj Mehdi
– Bittersweet – Rodriguez Jr

Which other artists are you into at the moment and why?
We are a lot into Sigala for his ridiculously uplifting vibes ! And we listen to a lot of folk artists too, we love the guitar riffs from Moriarty, Passenger, Asaf Avidan..

Are there any key pieces of equipment that you are using to define your sound?
In the Studio, our go to is the monitor speakers Adam A3X that we absolutely love

What would you say some of the challenges artists face today in the music industry?
The challenge is all about making good tracks 🙂

Where do you gather songwriting inspiration? 
We gather  songwriting inspiration by living experiences and try new stuff, also doing sport

Take us through your songwriting process. Are there any particular steps you take when putting your music together?
There’s no particular steps when writing music, it can start from a piece of vocals , drums, a piano, anything that we think has a good vibe

What’s the best gig you have ever done and why?
Our best gigs ever take place in Paris because we feel very supported and people love us and we love them.. also because it’s home

And the worst?
The worst gig we had was in a club in a lost place in Germany where the mixtable was doing crazy high pitch noises.

If you weren’t a musician what would you be? 
Maxime : I would be a teacher
Camil : I would be a drawer

Do you have any particular gigs or festivals that you dream about playing?
We would love to play on the Ultra Miami main stage

If you could perform alongside any other band or artist, living or dead, who would it be?
We would love to perform alongside big singers like Ellie Goulding , she has a angel voice

Do you have any information regarding upcoming releases, projects or gigs in the pipeline that you would like to tell us about?
All we can say is that we have great things coming up soon and it’s still work in progress 😉
