MIN-t Releases Striking New Single ‘Hope’ Ahead of Album Arrival

MIN-t returns with her self-released single ‘Hope’, the first preview of her forthcoming album Before The After, due May 8. Originally from Poland, Martyna Kubicz has been based in Berlin since 2015, a period marked by over 300 performances at major festivals such as Reeperbahn, Off Festival, Orange Warsaw, and Y Not. She has supported acts including HVOB, Angel Haze, Jess Glynne, and Vitalic, and last November completed a European tour with Saya Noé and producer OIEE, with stops in Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Warsaw, Wrocław, and Bochum.

MIN-t’s musical foundation began with classical piano studies at music school in Wrocław from age seven to twelve, followed by early experiences in children’s theatre and ballet. In her teens, she gravitated toward jazz, electronic, pop, and soul, writing and performing in bands by sixteen and moving into production with Ableton at eighteen. A scholarship led her to Berklee College of Music in Valencia, where she became the first Polish woman mentored by Susan Rogers, the engineer behind Prince’s sessions.

On ‘Hope’, MIN-t takes the reins as producer and mixer, with mastering by Conor Dalton and co-writing from her sister Patrycja Kubicz. The track pulses with a fierce breakbeat, anchoring a storm of glitchy synths and a bold, magnetic bassline. Her vocals cut through with authority, shifting effortlessly from soaring melodies to incisive rapping, all in service of the song’s powerful message of resilience.

MIN-t shared: “The song ‘Hope’ is not a simple story about believing that everything will be okay. In these difficult times, trust in the world cannot be rebuilt with empty slogans. Superficial empathy only camouflages inaction. True hope is an effort. It grows out of experiences of loss or failure. It awakens anger – and that anger drives us to act.“
